Wissam has more than 28 years of work in managing health programmes targeting refugees; he is responsible for contingency preparedness planning, and has expertise in sexual and reproductive health. He worked freelanced as health consultant and trainer of clinical management of rape.

He works at the United Nations and manages emergency and health programs at some INGOs; he is the co-founder and Emergency Health Specialist of Seraphim GLOBAL in Lebanon and MENA. He has been involved in the Lebanese crisis response planning and intervention of the Syrian conflict as of the year 2012. Wissam acted as mentor and coach for gradates of recognized universities and conducted research on refugees and emergencies.
